This system eliminates head gasket problems and allows more over sizes. O-ring grooves are cut into the top of the cylinder instead of using old fashion head gaskets. We innovate with innovative features like our new O-ring sealed combustion chambers. Development was continued with track testing by with top racers like Bill Balance, Todd Vescovi and Jeremiah Jones. Our design philosophy is based on development work done with the two greatest ATV racers ever, 8-time Grand National champion Gary Denton and 7-time Cross Country Champion Barry Hawk. When used with recommended intake and exhaust components hp is increased as much as 17 rear wheel hp over stock. LED Engine Kits are famous for putting out big horsepower, and still having the strong low-end grunt that is so important for acceleration and rideability. The LED/LRD TRX 250R oem cylinder engine kit is a well proven combination. ![]() The cr cylinder is a direct swap and looks almost alike the atc cylinder.Due to the custom nature of engine kits they can only be ordered via phone at this time. I don't believe the fl350 is a direct swap, I remember reading that a decent amount of work had to be done to make it fit. The ignitions will swap between them, some modding the ignition cover needed and it makes a difference in the power. It still continues today, 06+ 450r motors are very similar to 02-08 crf450r motors, I believe the heads and cams swap between them, the dirtbike motor makes something like almost 10 hp more than the atv motor. 2 years of cr cylinders(84 or 85?) would interchange with the atc/trx bottom end, everything bolted on, you didn't have to use the cr head if you didn't want to either, block off the powervalve and you were looking a decent hp jump. I would imagine the honda atv and cr cylinder is a similar story. The 86/87 kxt250 used the same cylinder as the kx model(another nearly identical motor), for the 87/88 kxf the cylinder was changed(tamer) and a popular mod was to get the kx cylinder or kxt cylinder, it bolted right on, the power difference was amazing(it already had the best 2 stroke 250 atv motor). In the Jimmy white setup book, it gave you the part number for the kx clyinder and how it was much much better than the kxt. The numbers between the kxt and kx, just cylinder change favored almost 10 hp for the kx. I had a kx250 motor, looking at the cylinder between the kx and kxt is much more radical porting, boost ports and a difference in the intake port. The big difference was in the cylinder and head. Its just like the 82/83 kx250 and 84/85 kxt250(3 wheeler), the kx250 had nearly the same motor, gearing and clutch basket differences, same cases, crank, piston and the stator would swap between the 2. The difference is the porting, cr's porting is much more radical and a nickel-sil liner(chrome bore). ![]()
